I’m calling:

object1.preFX.addGlow()

object2.preFX.addColorMatrix()

On Android 13 (Google Pixel) the objects become gray rectangles when the fx is applied. Works great on desktop, iPad and iPhone. I cannot find this reported anywhere.

Help!

By chance, does the browser show any error messages if you try to do remote debugging?

We checked and there are no errors. Now the object with preFX.addGlow shows as either a red rectangle or a blue/green gradient rectangle depending on the Android device.

I am having the same problem - any updates on this? any workarounds?

I am implementing a simple white flash on hit in my game, created in ionic capacitor, with phaser. Using addColorMatrix works really well…in browser.

But once I run on android all sorts of weird things happen. It still flashes, but I get a blue/green gradient tint across the sprites I have added this to. Also sometimes the sprite image ‘rolls’ - like it has a y offset into the image that updates.

Just after posting this question I fixed the problem. So for anyone else coming here;

I changed from preFX to postFX - thats it! Everything worked from that.

No idea what the difference is, but there you go.

Thanks so much for posting your fix. I will try that out next time I revisit that project.
