# How to create glow effect in phaser 3

Looking to achieve glow like phaser 2 [Phaser - Examples - Filters - Rainbow Bars](https://phaser.io/examples/v2/filters/rainbow-bars)  
in Phaser 3.

Is there a way to achieve this, please.

I think the Phaser v2 example code you are referring to is using shader code.

I’m not familiar with shaders, but there are some [Phaser 3 examples here](https://phaser.io/examples/v3/category/display/shaders)

Very difficult to achieve the glow around a sprite or image with shaders. You are closer though. Thank you.
