Hi everyone,
I made a free tool called VFXRun Browser for browsing and previewing local 2D VFX assets.
If you work with PNG sequence effects, it can be annoying to open folders one by one and guess the animation from static thumbnails. VFXRun scans a local folder, groups PNG sequences, and lets you preview them as animations right away.
It can help with:
- Previewing slash, hit, buff, explosion, and UI effects
- Searching and filtering local effect folders
- Saving favorites
- Opening the original asset folder
- Testing effects with a background, character, or object
- Exporting edited results for use in your game workflow
It is local-first, so files stay on your computer. No upload and no account required.

I also made SheetGen, a free online sprite sheet packing tool:
Would love to hear if this fits anyone’s Phaser workflow.
