[Phaser 3.53.1] Objects get duplicated when move from a container to another

I am working on a drag and drop cards game that involves doing a lot of moving objects from a container to another, swapping container etc…
Everything was working fine but since I’ve updated Phaser from 3.52.0. to 3.53.1, I get a strange behavior where, when I attempt to move an object from a container to another, it gets duplicated and has one instance in each container. A possible fix is to manually remove the object from the old container before adding it to the new one.

At first I thought the containers somehow became non exclusive by default but that doesn’t seem to be the case. I can’t really show any code now as the whole thing is part of a big project but I was hoping someone would know about some additions to the framework that could cause this problem? I have read the latest changelogs and haven’t found anything related to this.
