Best Setup For Phaser 3 Game Development On Linux

Hi,

Been playing with Phaser 3 for a couple of hours now on my Linux operation system.

My setup is below:

  • Code writing: “Microsoft Visual Studio Code” for Linux(finally a nice one from MS)
  • Testing: (1) Upload to itch.io (2) Run on itch.io
(faster or as fast as having a complicated to setup web server on Linux)
  • Git Source: “GitKraken” for Linux to upload/maintain source code to BitBucket.org
  • Graphics editor: “Krita”
  • Audio editor: “Audacity”
  • Publishing: (1) itch.io (2) NewGrounds.com

Really nice web 2-D game engine, easy to get into from a coders perspective…
Thanks!

Jesse

You could try Live Server extension for VS Code or you might have some quick web servers already.

Hi,

No need: uploading and running on itch.io site is almost as fast…
Thanks!

Jesse

Sorry…

I meant I am satisfied with using itch.io website for live testing.
itch.io website will be the ultimate publishing site for this project.
(I will not have an official website this time)
