I’ve been experimenting with isometric tile maps using the Phaser Camera with Smooth Key Controls. I’ve noticed some strange behavior.
When the scene starts, everything looks great. But as I move the camera down, the tiles start getting clipped. Here’s an example:
I’m using the Kenney assets featured here.
Has anyone else seen this issue? I’m not sure if it’s a problem with the Tile Map management or the camera itself. Any suggestions or pointers would be super helpful!
Here are some details:
- I put the assets into a sprite sheet, but I kept all the white space from the source assets.
- Zooming in or out of the camera also affects the clipping.
- Only the top tiles are clipped. Never the left or right tiles.
